Trip to the South

We just got back from the best vacation ever visiting Jason's sister Tiffany and her family, Keyth and Annabella. It was a quick and exhausting 7 days, but it was so much fun!

June 11

We arrived in New Orleans in the afternoon and went out to dinner at a Cajun restaurant. We went shopping for our upcoming road trip to Disney World and just hung out together. Tiffany took me to this amazing popcorn place called Popcorn Bistro. Any flavor you could imagine was in this place and it was so yummy!

June 12

After church, we began our road trip to Disney World! We drove 10 hours through Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. (This trip added 4 states under my belt!)

Tiffany, Annabella, and Me
The happy backseaters!

Keyth

My Hottie!!!

The van was pretty cold so I tried out my first snuggie. It was actually perfect for riding in the car. Maybe I am being converted to the snuggie, but not LSU. (Sorry Keyth!)

Epcot

The Morgans

The Pankaus
Epcot was really neat. It was all about the future and technology. It also had areas from all over the world like Mexico, China, Japan, Italy, Morocco, France, etc. There were some really cool things to see in each one.

Jason and Me on the Spaceship Earth ride that is inside the Epcot Ball.

Waiting in line still...

It was a great day! This was one of my favorite of the parks.

June 14

Blizzard Beach

We started off the morning at Blizzard Beach Water Park

Annabella and I had fun on the slides together.

Striking a pose! She's so cute!

Magic Kingdom

After the water park, we headed over to Magic Kingdom. Unfortunately, this is the parking lot where Jason lost his wallet. It was found the next day, but we had a bit of a worrisome day.

Miss Annabella

This is after Splash Mountain. Annabella did NOT like this ride as you can tell by the look on her face. They were in the front and they got soooo wet. You can't tell, but Keyth's shirt is completely soaked.

We were behind them and still got pretty wet.

Tiffany and I rode the race car ride together. We had a horrible time driving! They were so hard to steer. We must have been a pretty funny sight.

Me in front of Cinderella's Castle at night. It changes colors throughout the night.

We got home around 1 AM. We were exhausted!

June 15

Animal Kingdom

This was another one of my favorite parks. We saw two great shows: Finding Nemo Musical and a Lion King Celebration.  It also rained a good portion of the day so it was the coolest day. :)

The Tree of Life

Dinosaur Ride
I didn't like it if you can't tell.... but Annabella loved it. I'm such a pansy!
These three didn't want to get wet.
This was an awesome roller coaster called Everest. It had you going forwards and backwards. It was so much fun!

The Pankau Family

After the Safari Ride. It was so cool!
(Most of my Safari pictures are kinda lame)

We went in a bat cage. There are sleeping bats behind me!

This park was really cool because it was like a zoo/amusement park. So much fun!

June 16

Hollywood Studios

We thought this was the lamest of all the parks. There wasn't a whole lot to do there but walk around. We did see a cute Little Mermaid Show and a Beauty and the Beast Musical.

There was a really cool ride there: The Rock 'n Roller Coaster. It was awesome!

Typhoon Lagoon

We spent the rest of the day at Typhoon Lagoon, another Disney water park.  It was a nice way to end the day.

Except... we started driving back that night. Tiffany, Annabella, and I were asleep within a half hour of driving.

June 17

After part of the night in a Motel 6 in Tallahassee, we were back on our way the next morning.
We stopped in Mobile, Alabama to see the U.S.S. Alabama.

U.S.S. Drummer

We ate lunch in Mobile at The Boiling Pot

Jason ate a soft-shelled crab po boy.

I ate a crawfish wrap

Annabella loved trying all of our desserts.

We stopped at a beach in Mississippi so that I could see the gulf.

We were happy to get home that night! We had an exhausting trip!

June 18

Before we left this day, we took a trip to downtown New Orleans and the French Quarter.

Too Cute!

You can still see Mardi Gras beads in the trees!

Riding the ferry to the French Quarter

It was pretty good!

Sadly, all fun trips have to come to an end. We had a wonderful time with the Pankaus. Thanks for an awesome vacation!
